Hey guys. I just got back from Guitar Center. I got to hook up a Strat to this really cool (and really expensive) amp. It was really fun. There were a ton of different effects, and I could actually sustain notes for a decent amount of time. Also, the Strat was easier to play than my acoustic for some reason. Barring was insanely simple. (Barring is a guitar technique that I've spent a long time trying to master, and am still not really good at.) I really need to get one. What was really sweet was that the manager guy who I was asking about electrics (as I know very little about them) and he said that a lot of times, the used ones are substantially better than the new ones, and they're about half the price, or sometimes more! I'm psyched, especially since I saw a really nice dark red one for $80, and a cherry red one for about $150. Well, that's all for now. See you later.

ReplyDelete@Osumone: Haha. Thanks. I plan on getting both a Strat and an amp, but I'm going to get the guitar first. After that, I'll have to save up for a while more to be able to afford a decent amp.
ReplyDelete@Ewok: Yeah, but not for a while. I only have like $50. We should get together at the mall like you said. Guitar Center is really close to it. We could swing by there and plug in a guitar and a bass and jam if you wanted. :)
