I was just stumbling through the internet and remembered that blog I made back whenever. I felt like making it to 100 posts before officially killing it. Happy birthday.
Bye forever.

Back from the dead (for a little while...)
Hello long-abandoned readers!
I haven't posted since last August, and I would try to excuse that, but I'll just leave out the rambling self-explanation and simply start anew. (Expect this post to be long.)
First things first: WEEZER. Weezer is a band that became my second-favorite around the time I stopped posting, and has remained up in my top 3-5 ever since. I've learned most of their songs and I'm basically a massive fan. I urge you to check them out. (Some links to a bunch of their songs below. Beware of language/themes in some of them for those of you with little siblings.)
On a related note, I GOT AN ELECTRIC GUITAR. HOLY EXPLETIVE YES. It's a Fender Stratocaster Blacktop HSH in Titanium Silver. It's got basically everything I want in a guitar and it looks totally sweet, too. (See picture below.) Along with that, I got a Fender Mustang III amp and some sweet picks. The combination of the guitar and the amp make for a massive explosion of pure awesome.
Also, as of a few months ago, some friends and I got together and formed a band. We're pretty happy with it, but we need to practice a bunch more before I can say "I'm in a band" without feeling like a little kid trying to get attention by pretending to be able to play an instrument in a poseur "rock band". I honestly think we're pretty good though, but not nearly ready to perform. Oh well, we'll get there. We've written some really cool stuff already, and I'm fairly excited.
Well, dang it. I wrote a whole long paragraph and tried to save it so I could come back to it, but it got deleted. Wonderful. I'll try to summarize it below.
Basically, I was saying that my taste in music has grown, and that I'm really into Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Three Days Grace (thanks to Ewok and Beatlechick for introducing me to them), Driftless Pony Club, Rise Against, Muse, a little Blink 182, and a bunch of other stuff. I got a Pandora and that's introduced me to some really cool stuff. I'm really happy about getting into these bands because it's affected my previously-non-existant songwriting style/ability. I've written some pretty good stuff on guitar/bass/etc., and I even have some lyrics down, which blows my mind. I'm actually proud of a lot of the stuff I've been coming up with, which is a pleasant change.
I also talked about how I wanted to do something with this blog. It has some potential to become a cool outlet for whatever I create, whether it be music, writing, visual art, or something else completely. I'm thinking of using my (albeit, pretty much failed) anonymity to put up stories based on my actual life. I can just change things around and switch out some names, and possibly do something interesting. Or not. I've never been a very good writer, but it's worth experimenting with and getting some feedback on.
On the topic of writing, you should really check out a couple of other blogs (if you haven't already, which you probably have). Cami has a couple running stories going on called "Bright" and "Music, Pranks, and the Girl Next Door." I'm a little behind on both thanks to my business lately, but they're both good. Links below.

"Music, Pranks, and the Girl Next Door" -- http://mpgnd.blogspot.com/
Well, my next post will be the big 'ol #100. I'll try to do something cool for it in an attempt to make it seem like this blog is significant in any way.
Until next time (whenever that is...),

EDIT: Oops, the next one is #99, not 100. Sorry.

Imagine this, but with a matching silver headstock and no tremolo bar.

Awesome-splosion
Hey guys. I haven't posted in a while, but I have a valid excuse, I assure you. Anyway, There are a few things I wanted to post. First off, as I forgot to do this in an email, and it wouldn't let me comment on Cami's post, I would like to wish Beatlechick/Ewok/Cami/Jenica a good first day of school. Also, I want to mention a few awesome YouTubers I stumbled upon. They are: WheezyWaiter, Charlieissocoollike, Dan Rezler, PineappleBoyFilms, and probably some more that I'm forgetting. Thirdly, I just want to share a few really sweet pictures I found.
Pretty sweet, right? Yeah, I know. (Also, I don't own any of those pics, so please don't sue me.) Well, I'll see you later.

P.S. - I still have only one reply to my post about the music player. If anyone cares about it, please vote soon, as I'm starting school pretty soon and will have less time to work on it. Thanks.

Yay my guitar is fixed
Hey guys. I'm just posting because I'm all happy because this guy fixed my guitar because it was messed up. (Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that it was messed up...by the way, my guitar was messed up.) He fixed the intonation, changed the strings, cleaned the neck/bridge, and did a whole load of other stuff that made my guitar more awesome. The only downside is that the new strings have a brighter, twangier tone that I don't like as much as the sound that my guitar used to have. Oh well, the brightness dies out over time. I'm more concerned about the twang. I don't like twang. On the other hand, the strings are much easier to play on. Slides are almost effortless. Really cool. Anyway, that's basically it for now. See you later!

Hey guys. I posted about this topic before, but I didn't get any feedback, so I'll do it again. The question is: what should I do about my music player on my blog? I'm going to either leave it as it is, add more songs to it, or get rid of it altogether. I'm asking this because I don't know what you guys think of it, and I always mute it myself, so I was wondering if it bugged you guys. Please respond by next Thursday. Thanks!
